Living Chair by Vladimir Tsesler + Sergei Voichenko

This Living Chair was designed by Vladimir Tsesler & Sergei Voichenko. The Living Chair shape is inspired by people legs that sits on chair. The design is quite innovative, but i still doubt it for its comfortability. Anyway its a nice inspirational chair that can inspire us to create another great chair shape that comes from a common design idea of chair.

POSA, design byDavid Chipperfield

This brand new seating collection was designed by Architect David Chipperfield for furniture brand B&B Italia. The leather collection includes a dining chair, easy chair and sofa, and is on show this week at trade fair Orgatec in Cologne, Germany.

The seating range Posa derives its name from the Marquis von Posa, the idealist hero in the play Don Carlos by Friedich Schiller. Schiller was born in Marbach Am Neckar, Germany, where David Chipperfield recently designed the award winning Museum of Modern Literature, completed in 2006.

Modern Leather Armchair by Tokujin Yoshioka

This Modern Leather armchair was designed by Tokujin Yoshioka. This Chair really does justice to the luxury material. The opulence of the 347 Heaven modern armchair is heightened by the plush, comfortable design that you can just imagine sinking into after a hard day at work! Likewise, the selection of pristine white leather adds to the richness and value of the piece.

The designer, Tokujin Yoshioka, sculpted each and every fold of the leather upholstery to make it so inviting. The frame of the chair is study steel, and it is padded with CFC-free polyurethane foam so it’s bound to retain its shapeliness well into the future. A gorgeous indulgence only for those with an eye for quality and comfort: the 347 Heaven armchair available from Cassina.

Origami chair by So Takahashi

This Origami chair was presented by Oslo-based designer, So Takahashi. The chair is made from folded, powder-coated sheet metal. It was exhibited at 100% Norway at Designersblock in Covent Garden.

This is the second year So Takashi can count himself amongst the exhibitors at 100% Norway. Previously an interior designer for Snøhetta’s Løvetann housing project (shown in 2006), Oslo-based Takahashi works across spatial, print, packaging and product design disciplines, and this year is launching his Origami chair.

The basis for Takahashi’s design studio has been to combine commercial work with an ongoing exploration of design that, he explains, “floats between the different dimensions: 2D, 3D, audio. Whether it is a book cover, a chair an album or a performance, it is all part of the same exploration and creative process of designing an ouitput - an expression.”

Although he travels a great deal, it has been life in Oslo that recently inspired Takahashi to work on 3D objects. The Origami chair is the first product from many sketches that has come to be realised.

Modern Bar Stools from Bernhardt by Danerka

The Aro stool is a modern bar stool design from Bernhardt, by Danerka. Bound to fit in at any social gathering, they provide a handy and stylish seating solution. Their tall, stately figures are instantly noticeable… yet their repetition of a circle outline makes them friendly and accessible. The circle base in shining chromed metal gives the stools a wide, stable foundation.

Repeated in the frame, the second circle gives you a footrest. Lastly, each Aro stool is topped with a circular seat available in two wood finishes, and a white finish, for you to choose from. Sleek European style for your home entertaining – the Aro stool by Danerka would look great with a breakfast bar or cocktail bar alike!

Her Chair Design by Fabio

Presented at the Milan Furniture Show 2008, the "Her" Chair created by designer Fabio draws Casamania November for both the body of a woman and the mythical Verner Panton chair and fits the shape of your body.

Musical Chair

From the Designer :
Nourishing our appetite for the visceral, music provides for us a feast of sensation. The savory sounds that exude from this compression loaded design will feed that hunger for experience. Relish in the robust lows that emanate from the calcium carbonate poly-coned woofer seated in the belly of the chair. This delectable design is certain to add a little flavor to any dining experience.

St. Bartholomew’s Church Seating design by Qubus Design Studio

Designers Jakub Berdych and Maxim Velcovsky eschewed the glossy finishes of previous projects, choosing to embrace the original stone of St Bartholomew’s church in Chodovice. The result is a mid-renovation aesthetic which sees plaster and previous layers brought together in holy matrimony on the Baroque columns and vaulted ceilings.

Illuminating the inside are chandeliers of uncut crystal which helped keep Qubus within budget and are in keeping with the unfinished theme running through the nave. Pews have been replaced by rows of Verner Panton chairs, each with a newly-carved cross in the back. The alterations cost the artists their warranties on the Vitra furniture but it was a small price to pay. The chairs sit in militaristic formation on Persian rugs, somewhat secularizing the building’s purpose.

Still, the new interior manages to inspire awe and exude artistic merit in equal measure- in spite of it now looking a tad more luxury hotel than place of worship.
