The Perillo Chair / Martin Ballendat

The Perillo Chair is a new lounge chair designed by German designer Martin Ballendat for the Switzerland based furniture manufacturer Züco Bürositzmöbel. A captivate and fantastic seating design made this chair match with your modern interior room. What is striking about Züco’s new Ballendat-designed lounge chair is its futuristic design and its extravagant appearance. The seat surface, backrest, armrests and sub-frame follow a flowing, uninterrupted line and seamlessly come together to produce a single unit. The front and rear surfaces are oriented towards each other and create a sensuous geometry. Martin Ballendat’s emotional design really does capture the spirit of the times.

Office Chair: Daybed Furniture by Manuelsaez

Daybed is a furniture that you must have if you are a hard worker and need something that makes you feel comfortable working in the office. Designed by Manuelsaez for their client Humanscale. Daybed is a home workstation, a modern lounge chair and ottoman with an ergonomically designed laptop computer support. Designed with total comfort in mind for light home office use, the daybed helps to prevent the discomfort and possible injury associated with long-term use of laptop computers in unhealthy postures, such as at a coffee table or while lounging on a sofa.

Manuelsaez attempted to prevent unhealthy postures born of coffee table and couch computing. Although Intended for light home office use, anyone with one of these in their den is definitely putting in extra hours on the ol’ intertubes.

Boombench by NL architects

This is a great idea in seating / bench design while you can sit and play or hear the music at the same time from the bench that you sit on. Designed by German designer Michael Schoner of NL Architects. The designer has designed a bench that plays music from passing mobile phones via Bluetooth. The bench was on display at the Urban Play event 2 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, last month.





















Urban Play is an international project by Droog Design, created and curated by Scott Burnham and presented as part of ExperimentaDesign Amsterdam 2008. See the movie about the Boombench . The following is from NL architects:



















For the design of the ‘Boombench’ NL architects transformed a regular piece of street furniture into a sound system. This seemingly normal street bench reveals its hidden gimmick when it is activated via Bluetooth, allowing the public to play the music on their mobile phones. Street furniture becomes ghettoblaster and passer-by becomes DJ.

The "Frank" modular sofa sectional from designer Antonio Citterio is geared for down right lounging, while movable pillows and backrests combined with extra deep seats allows any size sitter to get comfortable. The Frank sofa is available in armless and backless pieces shown here in yellow that allow you to make a "floating island" of seating which can be used as an extra bed if needed when the day is done.

A piece of furniture designed by Jeffrey Wollenzien called "The Karma Chair". This stylish furniture/seating designed for comfort and simplicity. It’s ergonomically shaped for lounging but the real story is the construction. Made from 2 identically shaped pieces of layered and formed bamboo veneer.



























They’re individually finished with opposing mating details so they slide-lock together with simple hardware. Flat pack shipping means this thing is destined for IKEA which in turns means it has a 100% chance ending up in my living room.

This hush modular seating is a new seating collection that was designed by 5d Studio. This hush modular seating is manufactured by Arcadia, a Los Angeles, California based furniture manufacture.
